SRS supports the SHS swim program

As some of you may recall, earlier in the year the Striders and Riders gave a monetary gift to the SHS swim team as part of community outreach fund. Coach Diedra was kind enough to snap a photo of many of the training tools purchased with those funds and asked to pass on her gratitude to all of the club members.

Halloween 5k

Another good turnout and I heard the course was ghoulish!

We had 28 runners for the Halloween run, and added 15 new or renewed members to the SSR roster. The Chieftain was also there taking pictures and hopefully we will have a small article. I have stapled and alphabetized our membership from the FRS, now totaling 41 participants between the 2 events. Now, if we could just get everyone in a harmonic convergence, we would have a BIG run. Harold, as usual, was present and was a big help. (We had two more runners that arrived at 9:30 and decided not to run ) A great job to all the runners who turned out. Jan
