Elephant Man Tri Results

In its second year, the Elephant Man Tri (at the butte) has continued to expand. The same holds true for SSR participation in the event. Mike Montoya and Christian Krueger finished 6th and 7th (2:18:46, 2:20:30), with Steven Montoya and our Jeff Johnson finishing 15th and 17th (2:31:11, 2:31:34). Obviously, all finished better within their own age groups. Scanning the rest of the results, E.P. and Robert Gonzales also swam, bike, and ran, garnering 5th in Clydesdales and 6th in their AG, respectively.

On the women's side, Cathy Pfeifer and Petra Fuierer were 17th and 23rd, good enough for 5th and 4th place finishes in their age groups even when counting overall winners.

Last, but not least, we had a relay team of Liz, Ellen, and Jan win second place! As far as I can tell, that included coed and men's relays, to boot. Way to go!

Fall 5k Race #1

I'll revise this with complete results in a bit, but I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to the first race! We had about 15 participants, with Jeff Johnson (and Charlie and Ella) and Robert Gonzales finishing in a friendly tie. Special thanks to Cindy, Corey, and Nancy for helping time and allowing Julie to race.
