Lake Tahoe Marathon Race Report

From Jan:

Here we are at the Reno airport-- waiting for our flight home. Tomorrow there will be big time suffering. Big Time.

We decided to bite on the Lake Tahoe Marathon. Run at some elevation, a few hills, and enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe--a place we had never been, and could fit in a weekend that coincided with a birthday.

I would write more, but I will be concise. Rick had a fantastic run-- WON HIS AGE GROUP (3:35). FINALLY. I got second in mine (4:08), and Julie got second (1:00:40) in her AG in the 10K. It ended at the beach, so you could immediately grab a drink and head right into the water or just collapse in the sand. Jules and I wore our SSR shirts-- yee hah! Jan
