It's a new year; time to announce our dates for our Spring 5k fun-run Series! We'll be gathering together to run, walk or run/walk at the following times and places:
Feb 25 at 9am at the Snake (East Rd by EMRTC): Valentines fun-run. Wear pink, red, hearts etc and bring your loved ones!
Mar 25 at 9am at the Snake (East Rd by EMRTC): Shamrock fun-run. Wear your favorite green running clothes (if you have any!)
Apr 8th at 9am at the Rodeo Complex: Easter Egg Hunt fun-run. Yes, it's a 5k but the Easter Bunny still "hides" (basically in plain site) candy eggs for you to find along the course.
May 6th at 9am at the Rodeo Complex: Connor's Causes. Annual fun-run put on by Connor and the Johnston family to support Cystic Fibrosis Research. SSR members: come out and support this worthy cause and the finale to our Spring Series.

One more announcement!!! This Spring will be the return of CASH PRIZES for individual races and overall series winners! Top man and top woman per race for races 1-3 will win back their entry fees ($5.) Points will be assigned to the top 20 males and top 20 females at each race. At the end of the series, the male and female with the most points will each win $50. In the past, we've had overall winners who never once placed high in the individual races but showed up to all four and earned those points. It truly can pay just to show up and pile on those miles!
